JPM are proud to announce that a courtesy van is now available for fleet and regular customers. The vehicle is available by pre-arranged appointment. Customers need to provide their own insurance for the vehicle. Written proof of insurance arrangements must be provided when the vehicle is collected.

Normal Use

Vehicles that are normally used on the road under normal conditions generally perform best by following the manufacturer's settings. This will allow the vehicle to handle properly under adverse conditions, while maximising tyre wear, and not reducing fuel economy.

If there are any signs of uneven tyre wear, or your vehicle has recently taken a knock against a curb or a pothole it is advisable to have your tracking checked.

Checking your tracking now can save you a lot of money in future repairs. Incorrect tracking can easily reduce your tyre life to less than 50% of normal, while also decreasing fuel economy.

Manufacturer's supply us with all the necessary data for wheel alignment of their vehicles. So for whatever reason your wheel alignment needs re-setting we can put it back to what the manufacturer's recommend.

Trackdays

For performance cars altering the wheel alignment can be a very important part of a car's setup. Change toe in/out and camber settings can have a dramatic difference to the feel of your car. Handling imperfections can be reduced and understeer or oversteer can be introduced or minimised depending on your application.

With our extensive experience in motorsport we are able to advise you on the settings that will be best for your vehicle based on its type of use and modifications that have been already fitted.

Please note that after your car has had suspension work it is essential that your tracking is checked, eg fitting lowering springs, altering torsion bars etc.

CornerWeights

If your car is fitting with adjustable suspension, then it may be possible to set your CornerWeights. The idea is to distribute the weight of your vehicle equally across each axle. This helps to ensure that the weight/grip is shared equally across your axles (wheels) and will therefore increase traction aiding both vehicle acceleration and braking performance.

While calculating CornerWeights we are also able to determine your vehicle's total weight. This can be useful if you are planning to have your vehicle undergo a weight reduction program to aide performance. You will be able to see the before and after results of fitting light weight components, and ensure that the weight of your vehicle is still equally balanced across its axles.
